Earth Mission

We work at the intersection of science and art, promote innovation and advocate for the inclusion of cultural practices in the space sector. We encourage the growing recognition of space arts as a discipline within the global art scene.

Our Values

Our mission on Earth is to open dialogues on humanity’s collective identity and the creative potential of space. We shed light on the benefits, dangers and ethical questions around space exploration through artistic and scientific collaboration.

We are driven by a belief in a shared human culture, a passion for artistic expression, and a commitment to the creative value of space exploration. Our core principles include:

  • Inclusivity and diversity in our operations and organization.
  • Multidisciplinary cooperation across space science, art, and broader communities.
  • Research and reflection on artistic heritage, exploring how to design for space.

Collective Journey

The Moon Gallery is an evolving process—selecting and assembling 100 artworks from 100 artists requires outreach, events, workshops, and exhibitions. Without the conversations that explore the human condition, the artifacts sent to the Moon would be mere objects in space.

The Moon Gallery Foundation, therefore, serves as more than a curator; it is a vessel for education, a catalyst for collaboration, and a platform for bold ideas. In shaping the Moon Gallery, we cultivate the dialogue that gives it significance.
